Jej twórca Christian Dell (1893-1974) był w latach 1922-1925 kierownikiem warsztatu metalowego w Bauhausie w Weimarze, a lampa podłogowa Kaiser idell™ Luxus jest doskonałym przykładem wzornictwa Bauhausu, które do dziś jest bardzo modne.
Szczególną cechą tej lampy podłogowej jest jej asymetrycznie ukształtowany klosz z opatentowanym przegubem obrotowym, który umożliwia zmianę kierunku padania światła na każdą ze stron o 15 stopni.
