Hyaluronic acid is a humectant found naturally in the skin where it binds to water.

The forms included are low-, medium- and high-molecular- weight molecules, a HA crosspolymer, and hydrolyzed HA.

Ceramides are lipids (fatty molecules) found naturally in the skin that help protect the skin barrier.
